The Casino... (Probability?)
15:34:19 Dec 9th 07 - Mr. Killer:

Right, the aim of this game is to get money (...) by playing games in a casino (...) . To win you have to buy the casino, which will be tough, as other players (maybe) will be playing against you, as well as me, playing as some guys in the casino, but they can't buy anything. You have various games in it (sorry if I don't know all / any of the games) I'll just be making most of them up. You will have to use your probability skills to find out the likelihood of something winning, or just bet on something and hope you're lucky. After all, I'll just be using the dice on the chat in-game to find out if you win. So, just sign up. I'll give you more information tomorrow, the beginning of the era. There will be games involving coins, cards, bows & arrows(yes, bows and arrows...) and others. As I said, I'll explain at the beginning of the era.

*Some big bald headed guy walks into the casino with a 2x4 and smashes a slot machine, suddenly ten guys run at him, but he beats them all down. He then throws the 2x4 at a mirror and it shatters, revealing the owner. They say a few words and the bald guy walks in. Septim then walks in and sees the mess.

22:51:37 Dec 9th 07 - Mr. Killer:

I don't mind too much, but don't excessively do it. Thanks Scientist. You'll be playing against each other (and me as some guys walking around) or just using the slot machine. I don't want you to be overdoing it, and also please don't tell other people which is the most likely to win etc. and I don't think you should if you want to win anyway... You'll start off with ummm... 1,000 gold I suppose... and work your way up... or down... Most likely down, not many wins too much in a casino without losing it all, and more... I'll make a few of the games up tomorrow, some basic, some a bit tricky, and you might want to watch out if some dude(one of mes...) offers you a game of something, and check if they are more likely to win or not. Of course, it doesn't matter too much, as it will probably be obvious if it's really against you... and chance is of course, the most important aspect...

18:35:24 Dec 10th 07 - Mr. Killer:

I won't, don't worry. Might, what the hell are you talking about? Who mentioned any currency other than gold? It's gold. Please don't use any other type of money. Ok, here is some of the games to start off... more will be built... perhaps...

Game(or item) |  Cost(to buy)  |  Cost(to play)  |&nb*beep*ount(As in no. of them)

Table                |  500 gold        |  Nan                |   20
Jackpot machine |  10,000 gold  |  50 - 500 gold  |  10
Bow(only one type)  |  100 gold  |   Nan             |   Inf.
Arrow(stone tipped)  |  10 gold  |  Nan                 |   Inf. (5 per pack)
Arrow(copper tipped) | 20 gold |   Nan               |  Inf. (5 per pack)
Arrows(iron tipped) | 50 gold  |   Nan                 | Inf. (5 per pack)
Arrows(steel tipped)  |  60 gold |  Nan                |  Inf. (5 per pack)
Arrows(silver tipped)  |  80 gold |  Nan               |  Inf. (5 per pack)
Arrows(mithril tipped)  |  100 gold |  Nan             |  Inf. (5 per pack)
Pack of cards    |    10 gold       |    Nan               |  Inf. ( full pack...)
Coin                  |      1 gold...      |     Nan            |  Inf.
Die                    |    5 gold          |    Nan               |  Inf.
Roulette             |   5,000 gold    |  100 - 10,000  |  5
Gun( :O  )        |     500 gold      |  Nan                 |  10
Bullets                |     20 gold         |   Nan             |  Inf. (10 per pack)

There will be more... I hope... The gun is for Russian roulette, I wouldn't try to do anything else with it... A table is to play stuff on, with dice and cards(not sure about the cards yet, we'll see)... Jackpot machines have various prizes, i.e. double your money(10% chance), treble your money(5% chance), 10 x you money(1% chance), and finally, 100 hndered times your money(0.1% chance)! No other chances, apart from losing your money. And I know you can't put that much money in most jackpot machines... but what the hell... Bows and arrows are to play one game only, and I'll explain it later. It should be interesting. A die is the singular form of dice for anyone that doesn't know. Roulette is... that thing that you spin the ball around on, and if someone could tell me how money numbers are on it I'd be grateful. Oh, and bullets are to shoot out of the gun... at your own head, perhaps. More games later. Now, any questions so far?
For now though you can't do much...

*Two men walk up to the newcomers and one asks if anyone wants to bet with him on a coin(wih two sides) whether the coin will land on heads of tails. He gets two tries to land it on whatever you don't choose, but he gives you double your money if you win. The other man asks if anyone wants to bet with him on a die(six sided), he gets 3 tries to land it on a one, and it's even money going both ways.*
Remember, some guys will trick you, others themselves...

18:50:59 Dec 10th 07 - Sir Revenge:

Roulette:  In the game a "croupier" ( funny word lmao ) spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction  The ball eventually falls on to the wheel and into one of 37 (in European roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) ( use a american one because its better and the picture is based on it as well ) colored and numbered places on the wheel. Players place bets on the winning number and the colour where it stops, whether the number is odd or even, red or black, or just a out right guess lol

There are 18 red spaces on a roulette table with 38 total spaces. Dividing 18 by 38 gives a probability of landing on red of 47.37%  ( says my calculator lol)

Picture of it :

[ Is that good enough for you =) ]

19:05:39 Dec 10th 07 - Sir Revenge:

Russian roulette is a lethal game in which participants ( I thought id right that as It would be funny lol ) place a bullet in the several chambers of a revolver ( normally ) . The cylinder is spun and closed so that the.locationer of the round(s) are unknown. Participants would then aim the revolver at their own heads and pull the trigger, risky init lol, the more bullets the participant puts in the more money he would get, like for every bullet 100 gold for e.g, no doubt desperate people might try, but typically a single round is placed in a six-shot revolver resulting in a 1/6 (or 17%) chance of the revolver discharging the round. The revolver's cylinder can either be spun again to reset the game ( I find that hilarious) conditions or the trigger can be pulled again, increasing the odds with every trigger pull; 1/5 (20%) for the second trigger pull and 1/4 (25%) for the third etc, meaning then the odds would be higher and therefore more money won, but of course, more chance of a bullet in your nuggin

Pic of gun :

You don't have to get tables, I'm getting more games in. There is stuff you don't need other players to play, like the jackpot machines and other stuff to come... as well as the roulette. Yes, you can bet on the person who is rolling the die... that's what he is there for... And yes, you can play other people's games once they're set up, like Revenge's there.*Killer is still wondering who texas pkoer thing is played...* Is it like ordinary poker or something? Or just that you have to get the highest card? I will need to know, as I can't have you supervising your own games and cheating...

The bow and arrow place is unveiled! You buy a bow and some arrows to play. As there is five in each pack of arrows, that is just the right amount you need to play. You have 10 targets. You shoot at any of the targets you choose. 10 points for target 1, at 100% chance of hitting it. 20 points for target 2, at 90% chance for hitting it. 30 points for target 3, at 80% chance of hitting it. 40 points for target 4, at 70% chance of hitting it. 50 points for target 5, at 60% chance of hitting it. 60% chance of hitting it. 60 points for target 6, at 50% chance of hitting it. 70 points for target 7, at 40% chance of hitting it. 80 points for target 8, at 30% chance of hitting it. 90 points for target 9, at 20% chance of hitting it. 100 points for target 10, at 10% chance of hitting it. Ok? Now, as for the arrows...

Arrow(stone tipped)            10% chance
Arrow(copper tipped)         20% chance
Arrows(iron tipped)            30% chance
Arrows(steel tipped)           50% chance
Arrows(silver tipped)          75% chance
Arrows(mithril tipped)        100% chance
The percentage chanecs are the chances to penetrate the target, and you have to hit the target(obviously) and penetrate the target to get those points. You can also aim for an oppenent, with a 1% chance of hitting him, and a 1% chance of penetrating the light armour worn to protect them, and kill them. However, think of the reaction... There is up to 5 people playing it, with a min. of 2. To start off, a man asks if anyone wants to play a game, for 2:1 ratio. You getting twice the gold(extra, so three times) if you win, and you lose what you bet it you lose. Max. 300 gold, as I don't want anyone going and losing all their money on it, because if you do... well... what can you do with no gold? He is armed with a bow, and copper tipped arrows. He has only 500 gold to lose.

17:23:02 Dec 11th 07 - Mr. Umbar:

Where do i play it? Just here in the casino..?
And how that goes than? :S

20:13:36 Dec 11th 07 - Mr. Killer:

Errr... at Revenge's table there... in the casino yes...

Some complicated version of the rules I found...

Texas Holdem Poker Rules

At the start of the Texas Holdem poker game, the Dealer shuffles a standard 52-card deck. In casinos and card-rooms, the Dealer does not play. However, when there is a shortage of Dealers or in home games, games may be self-dealt. In self-dealt games, the deal improvements each hand in a clockwise direction. In games with a Dealer, a round disc called the "Dealer Button" moves clockwise from player to player with each hand. The Button marks which player would be the dealer if the game was self-dealt.

The Button was previously called "the Buck", from a buck knife used for the purpose, and is the origin of the phrase "the buck stops here".

The Blinds

There are no Antes required from all players in Texas Holdem poker game, instead, there are two forced bets called Blinds. Games begin with the two players to the left of the Dealer or putative dealer (The Button) putting a predetermined amount of money (the Blinds) into the pot before any cards are dealt, thus ensuring that there is something to play for on every hand. In tournaments this amount is increased in a time pattern in order to ensure the elimination of players.

Most often, the Small Blind (the player on the immediate left of the dealer) puts up half the minimum bet, and the player on his left (the Big Blind) puts up the full minimum bet. This is called "posting the blinds."

The Deal

Each player is dealt two cards, face down (the Hole Cards). He keeps their denominations a secret, usually emphasised by shielding the cards with one hand while turning a corner of them up. The Hole Cards must stay on the table but may be momentarily raised to ensure that a player has full sight of them. They must then be replaced on the table but may be consulted at any time during the hand, but only by the player to whom they were dealt.

The object of the game is to combine these two cards with the five cards which will eventually be laid out in front of the Dealer ("the Board") to make the best poker hand (see "Hand Order") among the players. This hand may consist of the two Hole Cards and three of the Board, one Hole Card and four of the Board or - very occasionally - neither of the Hole Cards and just the Board. The holder of this hand wins the Pot (the accumulation of all bets).

First Round of Betting

This takes place immediately after the Deal. The first player to speak is the player to the left of the Big Blind. In non-tournament games he may choose to become a third Blind by placing a bet of double that of the Big Blind before the cards are dealt. This is known as the Straddle. The advantage of this to the Straddler is that in the first round of betting he gets to speak last, which enables him to take into consideration the bets of all the other players.

The First To Speak (on the immediate left of the Big Blind or Straddler) has three options: Call, Raise or Fold.

To Call, the player places a bet that is equal to the Big Blind or Straddle.

To Raise, the player adds an additional amount. The size of this amount varies with the type of game being played: in Limit Games, it is a fixed amount and may be Capped (limited) after a set number of rounds, normally four online; in Pot Limit games it cannot be larger than the amount currently in the Pot; in No Limit games, it may be any amount, limited only by the number of chips in front of the player.

To Fold, the player places his cards face-down in front of him and pushes them towards the middle of the table where they constitute the Muck. When any card touches the Muck it is deemed to have been folded. That player can take no further part in the hand and any bets he has made are forfeit.

Subsequent players have the same three options, plus the option to ReRaise (or ReReRaise). A ReRaise must equal at least the size of the last Raise.

The Flop

After the first betting round, the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is called Burning, and is done to ensure that no one accidentally saw the top card, and to help prevent cheating. The Burnt Card is placed alongside the Flop, under the next Open Card or in the Muck.

The dealer then places the next three cards face up on the table. These cards are called the Flop.

Second Betting Round

This round and all subsequent betting rounds start with the first player to the dealer's left still in the hand. In addition to Calling, Raising or Re-Raising, players now have the option to Check - staying in the hand without betting until it is their turn to speak again.

Once a bet has been made a player may choose to Call for that amount or Raise (or ReRaise, where applicable). If he chooses to do neither, he must Fold. Thus, at the end of the round, all players will have put in an equal amount of bets except where a player has an inadequate amount of chips in front of him; in that case, he may go All-In (betting the total amount he has) and one or more Side Pots are established, limiting the amount he may win to an accumulation of equal amounts from the Main Pot from players who contributed to that pot.

The Turn (also called Fourth Street)

After the completion of the Second Betting Round, a further card is Burned.(discarded) and the next card exposed and added to the Board. This the Turn card.

Third Betting Round

In Limit games, the fixed amount doubles and remains at that amount for the final round of betting.

The River (also called Fifth Street)

After the completion of the Third Betting Round, a further card is Burned and the fifth and final community card is exposed and added to the Board. This is the River card.

Fourth Betting Round

This precedes the Show-Down, when the challenged player must reveal his cards.

If two or more players have the same hand, the next highest card in the player's hand (the Kicker) is used to break the tie. If there is no kicker card (the tied players have used both Hole Cards, or have the same hand), the pot is split between them.

Players wishing to Play the Board (relying on the five exposed cards to make the best hand) must announce that this is what they are doing before throwing their cards away; otherwise they relinquish all claim to the pot.

Just go over to the table and ask if you can play against Revenge... And... you can play all the games now. I will explain how you do this: Post in your post what you want to do(play) and how much money towards it. Wait. As simple as that. Please keep them together though, like if you want to bet on two seperate things, put it in one post, and don't overcrowd me with things you want to bet on... All games are now playable. So, if you want to put 100 gold in the jackpot machine, post so, and I'll tell you how you did. You either lose, or you win. New: Nazgul racing track. A nazul racing track is released at the back of the casino. You place your bet on whatever Nazgul, and according to the odds, you win however much money. So, you bet on a Nazgul with 100 gold on a 1:9 chance of winning and you get 9 times your gold for winning, which 900, plus your original 100 gold, bringing it up to 1000 gold in total. The first race is about to begin...
Min. bet 50 gold, max. 500 gold.
